Have you ever started on a production and been told, “by the way, you're in charge of all the script revisions” but no one explained to you exactly what script revisions are or how to do them? Well, this is for you.
This is exactly what happened to me on my first ever film when I had my first production job as a producer's assistant. I was given a very brief tutorial on the most basic steps of script revisions by our production coordinator at the time, and then left to get on with it. What followed next was a huge learning curve, many mistakes, and a rather horrible experience of not locking the pages before inputting the latest script changes, and having to re-issue the script again to the entire cast and crew. YIKES! The absolute worst.
When I first started out, I would’ve loved a guide that didn’t just tell me what to do but showed me how to do it - clearly, step by step, with all the little things no one tells you.
So, I created it.
The Locked Script Method™ is a practical, beginner-friendly guide that walks you through the entire script revision process, from the white draft to the final shooting script. It’s designed to give you confidence, clarity, and structure as you navigate one of the most high-pressure parts of production.
In this guide you'll learn:
✅ My 9 essential steps to manage and issue revisions
✅ What each step means and why it matters
✅ Real-world tips that have helped me stay calm, organised, and respected on every job
This isn’t just a checklist. It’s my full method built from my 15 years of on-the-job experience - it's everything I wish someone had handed me when I was starting out.
It's available now on my website: https://lnkd.in/ef5ZNTAA
If you're stepping into a new role, levelling up, or want to strengthen your workflow, this is your new script-side companion.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you’re curious whether this is right for where you are in your journey. Always happy to help ✨
