What Is A Script Coordinator?

A Script Coordinator is much more than just someone who formats scripts. Working alongside the Script Editor and Script Supervisor, we can complete the script department, ensuring smooth communication and organisation from pre-production to post-production. Our responsibilities range from tracking script revisions to preparing detailed script reports for the cast and crew.

But it doesn't stop there. We can collaborate closely with writers, directors and producers to ensure the script's vision is brought to life on screen through the creation of specialised reports. For Apple TV’s Hijack, we had intricate timelines with real-time narratives. For this, I was able to provide a minute-by-minute scene timeline and also a document tracking the location of every character on the plane during every single scene. For these productions, a Script Coordinator’s attention to detail is paramount in crafting compelling stories.
